# ECR webinar: Tools, technology and AI in category management

Dr Kevin McCarthy, CEO and co-founder of RecommenderX, spoke at the ECR Community webinar series, in a session titled "Tools, Technology, & AI in Category Management".

Kevin's presentation showed how technology can combine all market data, including external, internal and customer data, to create actionable insights. He set out the technology objectives along the journey from data, through knowledge and insight, to action, and how they tie together into solutions that make a real difference for category managers.
