# Finance doesn't need more spreadsheets. It needs one version of the truth.

Finance teams in consumer goods are expected to track revenue, margin, trade spend and promotion ROI across every retailer and category. Most are working with:

- fragmented data from sales, category and RGM teams
- manual reconciliation across separate Excel files
- reports that are out of date before they're finished

The result is late insight, reactive decisions and commercial opportunities that pass by.

## What changes with one view

When retail performance and financial outcomes sit in the same model, the questions get simpler:

- **Which promotions paid back?** Base and incremental volume for every promotion cycle, calculated automatically.
- **Where is trade spend working?** Spend and return by retailer, mechanic and product, side by side.
- **What does a price change do to margin?** Before and after, by retailer, on the same numbers category and sales use.

And because category, RGM, sales and finance work from one version of the truth, the monthly meeting is spent on decisions rather than on whose number is right.
